Posted on: 2009/9/23 18:22 FIRMWARE Issue Since upgrading to ITunes 9 I am now getting a firmware issue when I try and startup 1.8 - there seems to be nothing on the board that discusses that error - any ideas? This worked before I upgrade yamipod and itunes.
BTW - love the product and used it frenquently until this latest issue happened. ![]() |

I tried to uninstall and reinstall quickytime + itunes, but Yami doesn't work. Thank you. |

Posted on: 2009/9/27 11:03 Re: FIRMWARE Issue if you have a second computer, or can install any 8.0 version(i used 8.1) of itunes and get it to work on your current computer, you can work around this issue. first, you must make sure that automatically starting itunes when your ipod is plugged in is unchecked. with the 8.0 version of itunes installed and running. then plug your ipod in and allow it finish what it is doing. make sure you use the eject button in itunes and unplug the ipod. then with itunes closed, you can start yamipod and plug your ipod in again. it will detect it. the error will occur again, but this time when you select that you want to continue, it should work fine.

Posted on: 2009/10/7 10:15 Re: FIRMWARE Issue Don't know about others, but iTunes 9 hosed up my entire library after the "upgrade". Had to reload all my songs, videos, etc - all my playlists - some 50+ are gone. Hope yamipod was the solution only to find my classic has been "upgraded" to an unsupported version for yamipod 1.8 - please tell me when 1.9 to support iCrap 9.0 is coming out? I'm slowing rebuilding my playlists - not connecting my ipod until I'm done - this is painful!!!!
