It works again.

I had to install and then to launch iTunes.

After it, yamipod works, and you can delete itunes

Goodbye and long life to Yamipod

as stated in my previous post. With that message you need to RUN ITUNES ONCE!

Re: "Your firmware is unsupported, quitting..."
I'm getting the firmware error.

I'm sure I have a new version of iTunes and doubly sure of a firmware update to my iPod today. YamiPod blows up no matter how many times I run iTunes, connect, reconnect, reboot, ad nauseum.

I'm also getting an error that states: "Something unexpected happened. Refer to online documentation or report in forum.

Sub Mainwindow.MainWindow.ipodwasconnected(MainWindow.MainWindow) AND
Sub MainWindow.MainWindow.ChkForIPod_Action(MainWindow.MainWindow)

According to iTunes, the iTunes version is 7.6.1.9 and the iPod (G5) software version is 1.3.

Assistance please. Thanks!
