YamiPod wiped out my G6
YamiPod wiped out my G6. It only trashed the index, not the actual files. After some crafty file manipulation, I was able to restore the index files. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

New version (1.8) should work better with newer iPods.

Re: YamiPod wiped out my G6
This has happened to me too after a Yamipod crash or error, the files show up in Yamipod but when disconnected the iPod's own display shows no music. Scary, but I found that all I needed to do was reconnect the iPod and use Yamipod to copy one song onto my computer. Then properly eject the iPod and everything's fine. Hope that helps

Re: YamiPod wiped out my G6
i met the same problem too. i understand new Yami works better for newer ipods. but my questions is, how could i fix this? or is that the only way that i restore my ipod and re-copy my music files back? i've got over 80Gb of songs in my ipod. that would be very frustrating. BTW, the method that blscorp
mentioned didn't work for me...

Looking for feedback.

Did you select the correct iPod generation upon first startup?

anyhow refer to online docs for recovery instructions:
