Posted on: 2008/9/19 21:02 nano 4G - song disappeared Hi,
I've just tried Yamipod with my brand new iPod nano 4 Generation. I've already had some songs put with iTunes 8 on it. The problem is that the iPod now shows 0 songs but displays 5/8 GB free ! If I connect it again, yamipod sees all the song correctly. Any ideas ? thanks, Tex |

I just downloaded yamipod into my pc and ipod nano and it hapenned exactly the same to me that it did to you. All the songs have just disappeared from the ipod, although it says that almost all the 4GB are used. Have you had any breakthrough in this question? Have you found out what to do? Thanks Aaricia |

As of iTunes8, and newer iPod/iPhone firmware, Apple changed the iTunesDB hashing algorithm. More details can be found here: http://bluwiki.com/go/Ipodhash |

First of all, check to be sure you can view hidden folders if not. go to tools-->Folder Options, select the view tab and select the radio button "show hidden files". Go to your ipod in my computer(in my case G:), you should see a folder iPod_Control,enter the folder, you should see another folder yamipod, enter the folder and copy a file named iTunesDB. go back to [yourIpod]:/iPod_Control/iTunes and paste the file iTunesDB. it should ask if you want to replace it.click yes. After you eject it I guess your Ipod should work fine. This is the cause of the problem...after yamipod works on ur ipod it updates the iTunesDB to one not recognized by your iPod and iTunes. |

sorry but I somehow forgot this thread. Well to fix my library on the ipod I simply followed the repair procedure as explained here: http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/docs/help/corruptedipod.php So it looks like yamipod is not compatible with iTunes 8 .. :( |

Development of an application takes time (a lot!) and money (hosting, equipment, software licenses...). For those of you who can, I ask that you make a monetary contribution in whatever denomination you'd like.
