     help please with my 80gb ipod classic!

help please with my 80gb ipod classic!
i have downloaded the new update, and my ipod finally shows up. i put on a whole pile of songs, waitd for them to transfer, then safely disconnected it. i turned on my ipod, and NOTHING was there! i showed that the space had been used, but it said there was no songs or videos! please help

ok now its asking me for FWID! whats that and how do i get it?

I have now the same problem...
i can drag n drop my mp3 to my ipod but my ipod says everytime no media :(

i have selected IPOD Video and not IPOD Classic.

delete the yamipod folder under iPod_Control in your iPod. Start YamiPod and choose iPod classic. Under windows fwid should be retrieved automatically.

I have my fwid but how do I set in in Linux? What generation do I pick? I think mine is 6th--black 80GB video.
