Re: Error Message
Hello. I initialized my Ipod using the lates iTunes (7.3.1) and downloaded the latest (?) YamiPod available in the downloads area and I get the following error:
"You have used this iPod with an unknown iTunes version, probably a new one. This may cause problems when using YamiPod, visit www.yamipod.com and please report the problem."
I thought the latest YamiPod version had fixed that problem, but it looks like it was fixed for 7.3 only and the new 7.3.1 just messed it up again.
By the way, YamiPod is a great software, so don't get me wrong. It is just that Apple keeps changing their own stuff so often !!

Re: Error Message
Send me your iTunesDB file. It's located under iPod_Control\iTunes in your iPod.

I'll try to see what's wrong.

Re: Error Message
Hello Webmaster,
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
By the way I did not mention that I am using Debian Etch (Linux).
Last night I just fixed the problem. Here it is what I did:
1. I went directly to my iPod video (80Gb), ../iPod_Control/yamipod folder
2. Checked the ipodgen file and discovered that YamiPod assigned a 4 to the iPod video. Maually changed it to 5 and saved the file.
3. Start YamiPod and voila! it worked.

Thanks.

I am having this same problem, I just purchased an iPod Video 80gb and realized that itunes is godawful (you cannot view the contents of the ipod!)

Your program is truly inspiring at a mere 4 mb it trounces apple's 43mb CPU sucking demon known as itunes.

Anyway, here's my Itunes DB file. hope badongo is okay.

EDIT: NEVERMIND! EQUINOX SOLVED MY PROBLEM :)

Re: Error Message
I'm slightly relieved that this "mshd" problem isn't just me.
I use Windows 2000 and itunes 7.3.2.6.
My computer's hard disk recently broke and so I'd like to recover what music I can from my ipod.
How can I fix this problem?

**EDIT**
Fixed the problem. I downloaded the new yamipod off the website, although it says "the ipod is using a new library, this may cause problems" it still works ok
